Two of the best Voyager episodes ever September 22, 2001 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I greatly congratulate the writers of these stories, as they are excellent. Scorpion sees the introduction of 7 of 9, the best character in the series! and the first real confrontation with the Borg for Voyager. Also, the first completly computer generated aliens, Species 8472, make their debute, with a gripping war in the Delta Quadrant. The Year of Hell sees Voyager attempting to cross the space of an enemy that can change the timeline by erasing certain things from time. The episode is quite complicated, as most 'time' episodes are, but it is great after you've watched it more times. Personally, I like all the 'time' based episodes. These movies are the best collection of the series.
MAKING A DEAL WITH DEVIL & PRESERVING HISTORY FROM A MAD-MAN October 14, 2000 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
WHEN CAPTAIN JANEWAY COMES FACE TO FACE WITH THE BORG, SHE MUST MAKE A DECISION; WHETHER TO MAKE AN ALLIANCE WITH THEM OR TURN BACK AND FIND A PERMANANT HOME IN THE DELTA QUADRANT. 'SCORPIAN' IS A GREAT EPISODE, WHICH KEEPS YOU INTOXICATED IN THE ACTION AND FAST-PACE WHICH IT DRAWS YOU INTO. THE EVENTUAL ENDING IS UNEXPECTED AND INTRESTING. IN 'YEAR OF HELL', JANEWAY MUST PRESERVE THE LIVES OF HER CREW WHILE TRYING TO SURVIVE THE WRATH OF A TIME-ALTERING MAD-MAN.THE EPISODE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES; MERGING TIME ALTERING WITH TWO VERY DIFFERENT SHIPS' SIMINGLY ENDLESS MISSIONS AS THEY COLLIDE WITH EACH OTHER, WITH HISTORIC RAMIFICATIONS THAT EFFECT THE GALAXY ITSELF.
The ultimate for any Voyager fan October 14, 2000 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a real must. "Scorpion" is the all time best episode of Voyager and "Year Of Hell" isn't that far behind. The story lines are brilliant, the effects incredible. Voyager at it's best.
